Learn the concepts of perspective
This is a basic, introductory course in linear perspective drawing. Students enrolled in this class will learn the most fundamental, basic rules, concepts and principles in perspective. The lectures, demos and assignments are created and designed with students who have no, to very little, understanding of basic perspective in mind. Students will gain confidence in fundamental perspective skills through technical studies and in depth presentations of concepts. Focus will be placed on building a foundation of understanding rather than design. This is not a class for students who already consider themselves to have a solid grasp of basic perspective.
This class can be taken digitally or traditionally, but it is strongly suggested to take it digitally since all demonstrations will be done in Photoshop using a tablet and the accuracy of the line work is important to review and overall artistic progression.
*Note: This course can be substitued for Perspective, in the Foundation & Design Program, should the student not be seeking a career in environment or background design.

I improved my digital perspective drawing skills a lot. I learned how to plan out a perspective drawing in thumbnail form before spending a ton of time doing the final drawing.
I used to believe that perspective was super complicated, but Robert did an AMAZING job of breaking everything down and simplifying it to the point where I now look back and am appalled that I every found perspective so complicated. I absolutely loved every single second of this course.
With the introduction of the basic rules of perspective, I'm able to comprehend and apply them into the assignments of the course.
